"Blago, Blago, Blago...!"

I'm almost ashamed to admit this, but, every time I see the living cartoon known as Governor Rod Blagojevich, I get the same feeling I have when cheering for the villain in every single movie I've ever seen. The shear audacity of this guy is amazing. Evidence? What evidence? Blago is going out guns blazing. It's like watching the Disney remake of Scarface. You've got to "love him" or at least be thoroughly amused. This guy has got a serious pair of stones. He's like the non-Special Education version of George W. Bush, same arrogant swagger, no accountability, completely unashamed, fantastically delusional, but he can actually piece a sentence together. I sometimes find myself hoping he gets a break. Maybe he can get a movie deal or a seven figure book deal or his own late night talk show slot on CBS, with Sarah Palin on NBC, and Joe the "faux" Plumber on FOX. Why not? Everybody else does. It's the American way. Who are we kidding? We know how this game is played. Justice doesn't pertain to the "wealthy and powerful." No, that's for the small time marijuana dealer or the poor sap who forgot to pay a few parking tickets. But, a governor who is elected to serve We The People and eats via our tax dollars? Oh, no! Corruption? Do we even know what that word means anymore? So, said it with me, folks: "Blago, Blago, Blago...!"
